Splittie Wedding

Hi all
Cruised along to Launceston with Alex Damen in our Splitties for wedding we had to do on Saturday. About 160 Kays each way, made a weekend of it and had a ball. Got back late yesterday, the splits ran like panzers,
What a blast, enjoy the pics. The bride looked beautiful a lot of the pics were taken at Cataract Gorge just on dusk.

Yeh it was a great weekend, we met Anthony along with Alex's other brothers and sisters and his parents. The weather was excellent, just good all round. Have got another wedding to do in October in Launceston in the split.

Met Lindsay who was over for the wedding in his T4 and he tells us that his good friend in Adelaide fully restored your 1957 and sold it on.

The wheels wouldn't fit, I would of have to had my front hubs and the wheels machined, no time. Most people loved the mangels anyway. Happy trails.

In the finiish they only wanted Alex and my kombi in the wedding. Yes it was a good event, the vans went well. It takes me back to the 60's in Sydney growing up, my father had two splits in his business. My mother's cousin had a deluxe 13 window also, same colour as Alex's.

We had a splitter for our wedding ... got some top shots of it outside the Palisade in the Rocks ... a guy called Simon owned it .. a green and white one, think a 65ish...local car...a microbus...never seen or heard of it again...this was 10 years ago though...?
