Adjustable Spring Plates - Swing Axle with Beetle Box

Post by Applez »

I'm new to these build threads so please be kind. Just looking for some advice on whether i can go ahead and fit creative engineering adjustable spring plates to my early model 11 window split bus with out doing an IRS conversion?

Current additions:
Removed reduction hub in favour of beetle box (i think that's right)
4 wheel drum brakes that are working well
twin port engine with plenty of power
Original swing axle and suspension remains.

Is there going to be an issue if I fit spring plates to allow me to get the back wheels off if I get a flat tyre etc?

On the Kruizinwagon website they push for an IRS conversion to avoid wheel bearings going dry, oversteering in rear of bus, wheel camber issues and something referred to as tuck under?
