Re: Mannum Ute Muster
After buying my 57 SC last year and discovering it was from Mannum SA, I tried to hunt down any family who knew about the bus. I called the Mannum Historical society and was put onto one of the daughters of L.C. Howie (Lester Howie) She vaguely remembered the bus as a child and was very excited to hear and see pics of it.
Well today at the Mannum Show and Ute Muster, all 3 of old Lester's daughters turned up to see the Ute. We also checked out the old premises of L.C. Howie and Co in Mannum not far from the show. Great day and fantastic to connect some history of the old Ute.
