Finally Saying Hello

Post by moo69 »

Hi All

Finally thought I better say hi to the dsk'ers.

Marty and Elton will be please to hear that Helmut is headed for the road again, currently going topless and have just thrown a 1600 twin port motor in. A huge score for us, we bought a 69 lowlight for the front beam and hoping to score a few parts for our lowlight d/c project and then scrap it but what do you know, it surprised us and gave up this motor and a 5 rib gear box which ran the first time we turned it over!

As mentioned, we also have the lowlight d/c project, a 69 lowlight bus and the wife drives a 75 every day. I started out with the splitties and the wife decided she has to have a Kombi too and got the bay 75. We then met in the middle and settled on the lowlight d/c and will get rid of the 75 as soon as Helmut has a roof on.

Looking forward to learning more on splits and can't wait to have Helmut racing around the ACT again.

Great to see you on board, moo.
Don't know if you remember but I ran into you at Eagle Hawk one day about a year back and then proceeded to talk your ear off!
I look forward to seeing Helmut on the road devoid of his big head but going strong.
And good find on the lowlight.
They are cool vehicles.
Cheers & God Bless

Welcome - great list of cars you have there. Is that Casey Stoner driving?
Imagine what you would do if you knew you couldn't fail.

I'm thinking Marty should cough it up and tell us more :o
You can't change your user name! Helmut was your baby first, we were just lucky enough to 'adopt' him.

Yes, kombi1976, I remember catching up with you, Andy isn't it?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes. We feel very spoiled with our Kombi's. Helmut is now on the road but still topless. He's the only one of the road unless you count the wife's 75 Bay. His name is Dog Salmon cause he's the Kombi that John West rejected.

As for the little wild dude behind the wheel, a wannabe adrenalin junkie, that's our three year old son. Got the coolest curls in the world, a total surfer dude :D and yeah, got to be Casey Stoner fans
Thanks again for the welcomes!
