Hi all, I've been out of the DSK loop for a while and thought its well over due for an update on my ute. Finally got some paint on it and its now in the capable hands of Al and Steve at DAS resto to get it finished and on the road. Heres a few quick pic's snapped this morning...will get some more pics soon.
I'll be putting new Klassic FAB gates on after xmas.

Thanks Don getting there now.

Hi Dion the mounts were with the box when I bought it I haven't come across them before, they look like urethane. Im sure someone on here knows where to get them.

I remember seeing theese mounts many years ago for sale at a local VW spec guy Lindsy Mitchel, some guys from the Melbourne scene may remember him from the old days, he had a custom shop in Coburg a Melb Nth suburb "Mitches Motors" he used to Drag a 62 beetle white whith lilac flames  he was my mentor and a damn good one too

he may even be on here somewhere?

I think they were either a BugPack or Empi kit

Found a link to them through a dealer in the States as an Empi

Al and Steve have been busy,

Engine in, side winder exhaust now had final fit after an intial trial fit cut and weld to make it clear the appron.

Tank in, brakes now have a peddle, under side pretty much complete. All going well the guys should fire it up today, exciting parts of the resto...

Cheers
