LH Inner Panel
Did a little bit more today.
kept ticking away at preparing to get the roof straightened, removed the pop out on the left side and unpicked the inner panel skin, this will make for easier straightening of the skin out of the body and should hold less stress on the roof when I go to straighten it too,
at least that's the plan,
Just need to run a nice clean cut down near the bottom to remove it, I will have a go at that tomorrow when the neighbours won't mind all the noise.

inner skin and vent work
Straightened out the LH inner corner skin and the vent is almost done.
I had to seperate all of the vent flutes to get access to straighten them but with the inner skin removed I will have good access to weld the vent back in, the plan is to just measure them up and tack them in nice an even.
I know you can pick up vents in good nick for pretty cheep but I just wanted to see if it could be done, after all what hapens when there is no more splits left to cut up
next task is to weld in the vents

stitching in the vent
Started to stitch in the vent today.
First off measured up the dimensions off the good RH side vent (1.6") about 41mm between vents.
Pinned up the vent section and lined it up at the rear first and tacked it in then lined up the fwd part of the vent, as the fwd part has been sliced with the grinder this had left a gap of about 1 mm, so to fill the gap I used a 2.5mm welding rod with the flux removed and poked it in from behind, this gave me something with a bit more meat to bite into.
I should have the vents all in by tomorrow and will post more pics then
