Parcel arrived last week.

Adapter for the subaru motor and front discs from Shermans.

Taking leave at the start of march to spend a full week on the bus.

Mmmm, perhaps.
The 2.5l puts out a fair bit of grunt.
My brother broke an 002 1800cc box with one, not that means anything cause 1800 boxes are weak as.
But changing the plastic bearings to metal ones and doing some other stuff would make it stronger.
My brother refered you to Dave whatever-his-name up your way and he can definitely make it tougher.

That he did, if I could find it!!

I have heard these boxes are pretty strong, but the last thing I wanna do is destroy it

Going out to the bus tomorrrow to put a shopping list together and to send off for a heap of the parts I need for this and the 56.

Spent a fair bit of today on the bus and am happy with the progress. fitted up the tie rods steering set up

Knocked the old drums off - took some bashing

Dust cap wouldn't fit so will have to see if I can source a bigger one.

Also the wheel wouldn't fit with the bigger calipers so will have to definately get some 17 inch radars!!!

then started on the adapter plate to fit the Subby motor to the gearbox

Set the adaptor plate up, had to redrill two hole slightly as was out a little

Gave the gearbox a bit of a clean up and fitted it up

I'm not sure how long this old fella has been without wheels but was last registered in the 70's. Good to be able to move it around easier.
