Did an up-date on the i-phone and the camera seems to produce a better pic now...May not need to buy a pocket camera after all...
Finished off the rear corners of the lid this week-end.....
Will use a thin grinder blade to cut slots along the rear gutter to let the water out....

Thinking about using a body mold (ala Type3 sill ) down the length of the centre of the lid to conceal the join and one either side of it..all painted body colour...Similar to the luggage rails on a 70's station wagon..or
maybe 10 or so , timber slats spaced across the width of the lid..something like the type used on a roof rack..
