Home sick
Hey all,
Well the old SC has recently made it's first real trip since returning to the blacktop under my custody, a trek back to it's stomping ground to take part in the annual Henry Lawson Festival celebrations in Grenfell, mid western NSW over the June long weekend.
The SC was dragged from it's resting place about 40km out of town, so I thought it be appropriate to take it out to it's home town after recently getting back on the road after a 2 year resurection.
Was a 1300klm round trip all up and bus got along very well, cruises on around 105km/h fairly easily and stock 1600 with extractors does hills pretty well also.
Entered into the street parade and then the regional car show the next day for a bit of a giggle and not surprisingly was the only Rat, which was a real buzz to see how well it was received......was entered into the 'Town Ute' category..haha!
During the parade, the looks on faces as nice shiney, restored car, truck and tractor after the next went past.....and then a worn out, decrepid looking old dub holding it's head high was truly priceless.
And some stirling photo opportunities in such a historic little old town......sorry about the execution though.
Anyway, here are a few quick pic opportunities I had....
Cheers

Hey Wally, yes without trespassing there is always interesting treasures to be found in my travels......like the white trunk on the back in the pics, a late 1800s trunk from a ship's galley, the perfect functional accessory for organising small things in a big SC tray.winerot wrote:great pics great ute but did you look in those sheds even the mobil painted corrigated wall would be nice in the garage.
Always a story with it aswell to add to the nostalgia.
And Linz, yes a bit chilly over nights, always good to still see a solid frost.
A couple more......
