And to think, I was starting to feel sorry for your neighbours regarding noise...FrankenCab wrote:neighbors are cool they play willie nelson and kamahl full blast and the others have parties till 4am , I stop noise at 6-7pm and shed doors are always shut.
for cleaning welds i use small air grinder with cut off discs and the small linisher/belt sander and flapper discs on the grinder. always a fun job.
Isnt a breach of council by-laws to play Kamal ....
Ever...
Wanted..Barny bits or 60's Supercharger other than Judson

front outrigger and jacking point supplied had to be cut apart and modified , outrigger was narrowed by 10mm and brasil jacking point had its spot welds drilled out and rewelded ..fun.. inner long sill done and outer aswell passenger side jacking point and outrigger also replaced
gearbox is also back from being rebuilt , front beam with all its brakes is rebuilt and painted new brake lines have been fit up as old ones were almost rusted thru. Most small holes have been welded up which is a fkn lot floor is fixed in the cargo area , just spent a couple of hours repairing all the wiring in the engine bay as it was special. I like the battery cable attached by a hose clamp

that bog had been there for a while , could see it in its growth rings pink grey pink grey yellow. this sill was one from georges with the joggled edge gives you 10mm of fudge factor.. the profile is out a little compared to orig shape and found its a few mm too short length ways but could be this bus too. butt weld whould work nice just have a small gap less than 1 mm so good penetration happens yeah baby. And use butt weld clamps to keep it level . I found spotting it then moving 100mm then repeating along the sill then walking away doing other repairs then coming back reduces warping, but sometines it still happens, hammer and dolly while its still hot helps too.
Its all trial and error thats why the dc will come apart as I've learnt alot since then . If i fk it up I cut it apart and do it again
