Deano, when the irs was fitted did you use adapter plates so you could still use wide 5's?

yes the back end is 68-70.
I wanted those wheels, and I wanted big rubber, so the fellas adjusted the IRS and spring plate/adjusters to make it work. I wanted 205/60s to carry the load and wanted BRMS, so they worked from there back. I wanted tall rubber and the look of the 'normal' stud pattern.
I know that they are taller than is 'trendy', but I like the old school look. I've gotta get some k's on it all, then I can get the white walls on. That will give it a whole new look
There will be a lot of weight in there when it finally done. The height and tyre set up is to allow for that.

Well that was fun ... gotta go back next week to pick it up...must come up with a name for it..., had to get the sway bar tightened, but all done, so will be rolling next week...
Mr Blue Slip : You need water jets - erm no, its a panel.
Mr Blue Slip : You need a headlining - erm, no it's a panel.
Mr Blue Slip : You need a window demister - fell over laughing.
Mr Blue Slip : What's this bolt on the front 'axle' for? - is this modified? ... erm no, panel vans came with adjustable ride hight as factory option, for people in the country that wanted to raise them for unsealed roads ... oh okay. Didn't spot the IRS or back end adjusters...
Was a bit hectic getting there on time, via super crap to get some seat covers and then finding a floor mat. Delving though the roof space at Indian is like a challenge they give you on Survivor. All this barn door crap in the way. So with floor mat, Hilux seat covers, new gear stick nob, off I went, wary that entire brake system has zero ks on it.
So fairly painless experience ... did have a blast driving it down there though..jeez, with no sound deadening it was so loud.
The chief promises came true, it goes well, stops well, corners and rides way better than I'd expected. Even looks better now there are 6ks on the clock...
Narooma Here I come...all be it in a semi-finished fashion...
