Brucey, we are leaving Brissy on Wednesday 17th November and slowly heading south. Got a couple of places to stop along the way. Show is Sunday the 21st and probably hit the road early Monday morning and be back in Brissy Tuesday night.

Just got the word that my 1500 box has been rebuilt and ready to collect!

Plans are moving along nicely so far! See how long it takes to get messy and fuck out

Thanks boys 8)

I still have my super duoper rusty panel, its tucked away out of the weather for a rainy day

Morts, Tonz asked me the same question over on Melburg ... It will probably need dog legs (inners have got a few small holes), front floor sections (been patched already), small rear floor sections and the cargo door sill (full of brazilian chicken wire i reckon).

Battery trays are nice, nose is super sweet and solid and long side is awesome too. All in all a pretty good bus, but remember it is 10 -15 years younger than most other spilts too

Tonight was awesome, got stuck into the adjusters.

First pulled the centre steering block off so you can get to the dimples to drill them out.

Learnt the little trick on KCW about the tie rod threads being the same as the adjusters 8) Wind it in and bang you heart out without worrying about damaging shit ...

We had a few little hickups with the welder a couple of weeks ago, just with doing high wire speed stuff, but lucky we got it sorted in time to do this job.

Check out the welds .... yes I have a chub on

Back on with the centre steering block ...

One adjustable beam :D

Started prepping the ends to narrow it, but I got this far and ran out of cutting discs

Stock up tomorrow and then its chop chop time

Dibba..
Good progress there..
How did you determine the placement of the adjuster..?ie What drop in height will this give..? 8)
I'm about to weld some in and looking for maximum drop in ride height..

ps On the weld...
Love good penetration...

Cheers Tonz :)
Wanted..Barny bits or 60's Supercharger other than Judson

Thanks Tonz!
The open hole you can see here on the right tube is the original grub screw that holds the torsion bars in place.
I just scribed the line between that and the drilled out dimple above it.
If you are using the CSP brand adjuster like me, the overall length fits over the opening with about 2mm of each hole visible on the outside of the adjsuter block on each end.

You get a heap of adjustment out of these things, probably between 4-5" overall I would think. At its highest setting it will obviously be slightly lower than stock (probably around an inch lower) but paired with the flipped spindles (around 3" lower) thats a 4" drop at its highest setting

Best thing is its only downward from there :D

Clear as mud
