alright Josh - enough gushing - just keep feeding me cups of tea and evening beer and i'll feel appreciated!

got the other two window fremes on the drivers side prettu much sorted - still some tidying up required but the shape is all there - fortunately these two didnt need cutting into the beltline but needed sections remobed on the inside, - hardest bit here was probably cuttingthe replacement panels!

been quietly ticking along the past few days and hassling josh to get parts organised - sorry buddy!

given me a chance to tidy up some small patches in the cab and under the seats. new Bpillar fitted and decided to have a go at fitting lower cargo door - what a bitch of a job!

panels were a mile off fitting properly and my head was in the bin after a big weekend

first effort restulted in panel warpage just tacking the new steel in place so had to cut it all and start again!

bit more patience on the second attempt and was pretty happy with the result - for a first go - just replaced 110mm on the bottom to keep as much original paint as possible- bit lumpy but mainly from my poor dolly work - this should come good and be ok when the paints matched in - - good job its a rat

not looking forward to attacking the long sill tho

i used to work in a engineering factory where i used to use milling machines that were chain driven!! big deep draw metal presses with wooden clutches and they were the new machines

seemed to get a bit distracted last week with collecting a new bus but back onto it this week for a couple of days

passenger side sills finished and closed - jack points in place
started on the drivers side and fitted inner sill one top hat and outrigger and fixed up the bogged rear corner and battery tray - waiting for some bits now so on with another job this week - hopefully next week get the long sill done and get into fitting up the cargo floor- i'll be a happy man to see that go in - then is all cruisy downhill to the finish

just did the riggers and top hat sections on mine, how good is it up on rotissorary.

just welded in the drivers inner and have the outer ready to go in.

looks like were racing,

when are you aming to get it on the road?
what are the plans for the motor and other running gear at this stage?

hey bruce,
Aiming to get the bus on the road so we can use it as our wedding car next March. Doesn't have to be registered, just running!
Plans for the running gear is dropped spindle, 4 inch narrow front w adjusters. Rear end is straight axle w type 3 brakes. On white stockies with rubber band front tyres and blown out fat rears. donk is a mild 1776 for a start with the plan to put in a type 4 upright converted 2 ltr w 40 IDF webers later on. Interior is a kombi shop custom made job, Red leather w grey piping, chrome trims, r & r bed and full set of pop outs.(these boys do a brilliant job-I totally reccommend them!) Still workin out safari's. Running out of $$ that I need for the wedding, but I have some great mates helping out and I think I have almost everything in house at the moment.

That new ride at weork is Glen's brothers FJ. Bloody lovely!, but not my style! splitscreen tho!! it could be Glen's next adventure!

hey bruce - thanks that would be ace - any chance you could get it to josh at work? going to have to hit Glenn up for a mig this week as mine has just destroyed itself - brought it home to do some work and bam! gone - my grinder blew up too

the other ride was the 64dd i picked up last week but have passed that on to jake - will post some pics of ses's 68 datto ute tho for sure
