Yes its all coming back to me know, Paul had the rear sefari window for sale and I owe Tonz $50 thats right

Hey can you guys answer me this?
I heard that the 61 model came out originally with just the one round brake tail light in europe and USA, Australia was the only country to include the extra indicator light. Is that right?

So some planning has come up with the following actions needed:
Kombi Goal

Road worthy

Stage one
Make drivable
Must do Still to buy

front section
cut lower section
insert lower inner and outer nose panels
left pillar repair
right pillar repair
Left headlight
fit centre pin kit
install beam
install brakes
Buy Seat (may make one)
Buy gear stick
Buy Speedo
Buy Drivers side lower dog leg
Buy Drivers side floor
Buy Passenger side lower dog leg

middle section
Sand blast, rust proof, paint
Buy insert floor
re fabricate and weld cut sections
Both sides inner sills
Buy Drivers side three pillars repair section
Buy Passenger side two pillars repair sections
Buy Two rear top hats, (may just repair them)

Rear section
Paint black under section
Sandblast, undercoat, paint final colour upper engine section
Buy get fuel tank
Buy Repair battery tray
Clean, check transmission
Fit axels, Buy new boots
Install transmission and axels
Install brakes
Buy engine, inspect engine
Install engine
Install rear brake lights
Buy indicator lights
Install rear indicator lights

I have estimated the final panel parts at around $700 thats not including the cargo floor (an additional $1000 about)
other parts an additional $400
was quoted around $800 for a front seat, I think I'll make one for now.
So far spent $6240 + $2100 = $8340
And then an engine???
Guys I think the $10,000 is doable, will be tight but I think I can just squeeze in

Now I need to shop around for the best deal.

yes, i think many of us are. i got a sand blaster just like joe and sheeted everything up in my shed only to find my compressor wasn't nearly big enough, far from. so am now waiting for one to arrive in town. spending $800 on it, and apparently thats still not good enough to run in constantly. but thats ok, cause its only small anyway, will have to keep filling it up. so i havent touched mine in 2 weeks?

easy trap for those new to air tools..
The compressor pump ideally needs to deliver an amount of air equivalent to or greater than, the amount required by the tool..
The tank capacity should be great enough to allow the tool to run without the compressor running continuously..
Best talk to a tool shop specialist before buying air tools and or compressors...

My 2c

I use a smaller compressor that feeds a much larger add-on tank when needed, works very well for rattle guns, etc.. not sure about painting tho..

I think its my strength and weakness, I totally immerse myself in what I do, have to be careful not to get lost in it

The bus stop just delivered another part (inner sills)

yeah 5 gal, doesnt last too long ey, but thats fine by me cause i dont mind stopping every now and then. i try not to be one of those people that get lost in the mad rush that is life..
anyway, should be gettin the compressor tomorrow, been wire brushing all arvo and am sick of it haha. bring on the sand blaster! i plan to only use it on the hard to get bits and still use that god forsaken wire brush.

ha ha thats what I thought and in the end gave up on the wire brush entirely

I'm going to set an outdoor system for all the bits not bolted on the van
