You dont have to touch the beam but the rear will sit a little lower so will look funny, this can be levelled out with some adjusters in the front beam

It doesnt look like $400 worth but it is.
Thats all my brake lines, transmission mounts, axel boots and an assorted minor bits n pieces. Brake lines are a nice black to match my subframe :)

So does anyone know how to bend and unbend the metal brake lines? IS there a spring sleeve that you use?

Afternoon Joe,

>>>> $400 doesn't get you far now days !!!

FJ Tools in Bayswater (Old Post Office) have tube benders for brake lines at a a reasonable price, you can't use a spring bender as you can't get it over the tube fitting
To straighten out a bend, l would line the tube in a groove (section line that divides the concrete on the garage floor or a groove cut into a piece of timber) ~ this supports the bottom & sides so you can then roll out the bend.

And slowly roll out the bend.

Hope this helps, if you need any clarification - give us a call (PM sent with my contact details)

The bus is looking good !!!

Way to push forward!! Sometimes it seems like some part is just sucking up all our time and nothing is progressing. But you pushed on and that's huge!

The beam looks fantastic (again) and if you're really stuck up on the rims, I would leave them and come back to them much much later.

The good news about tranny's is that they hardly ever just let go. They might leak all over. They might pop out of 4th, but you can usually drive a VW bus tranny forever.

2.03am uploaded a video huh. and yet, you never seem tired....
my sand blaster is still going strong, except the valve tip wore out in the first week or 2 of having it. so i bought a tungsten tip and heavy duty valve for it for...$150......but it hasn't aged a bit since i got it. it should see me through to the next sand blaster so on so forth....i hope..
dont fret over some rims, just concentrate all your efforts into other stuff and come back on the later me thinks...

good work joe! keep it up :D
