okay cleaned up tag in engine bay -20-120892- puts it late feb? according to the samba , also found out on "dropgates" forum that number on bulkhead means nothing as its out of sequence to chassis number

ha ha jeff fought door frames trying to get glass out , took awhile but done , nothing like some 50 + yr old rusted parts now to straighten this out

Nice work - its great to watch the transformation/reshaping happenning. Big kudos for maintaining as much OG paint during the repairs as possible, I know how hard that is to do!

cheers guys it was pretty neanderthal how I got the dent out , was thinking about cutting the section off reshaping then welding back on but the cordless was flat and i had a selection of hammers n old tyre irons n crowbars and ye good old leather hammer "thor" close by oh and the slide hammer

got valance n engine lid sorted ..they actually bolt up n work ha ha, first more pics off this bit , dont know if this is right as there was nothing there
