Being a story teller yourself, Joe, I'm sure your missus has declared you completely deranged and just zones out like mine.
Fortunately mine likes cars, so much so that she told me her next paycheque is paying our next VW acquisition.
Mind you, not so much that she didn't practically made me sign a stat dec that this split is finished and will not now have money spent on it apart from repairs and servicing.
Sorry about those images at the start.
I should try and find some to put in there.
First my image storage spot on the web closed and then my hard drive crashed.
So some pics have just been lost but I'll see.
Meanwhile I'm a rank amateur compared to your screen gems, Joe.

Yeah, it definitely is.
BTW, Joe, I went back through my hard drive and uploaded those old pics so you can check out the images in the first few pages.
Incidentally, it was good to see the pics of my 3rd son as a baby the day we spent at Kombi Rescue's old workshop (i.e. Steve's house!).
Well, this is probably the last time I'll add to this thread unless something really significant or horrible happens.
Let's pray it's the first, eh?

Re: 67 Panel.....finally finished
Most people already know I had a collision in the Panel in Melbourne in early August but it should go on record since it fits in the "horrible" category.
Currently the Panel is at Volksmuller awaiting parts for the full repair so I'll have Steve post pics or I'll post them myself as the resurrection happens.
The main thing is we were fine and it's all covered by insurance.

Re: 67 Panel.....finally finished
Well, I don't believe in luck and everything that weekend actually ran scarily smoothly.
We were really blessed by the professionalism and customer service of everyone we've dealt with through that situation and I strongly believe everything happens for a reason.
I want the Panel back to do the Snowy Mountains run over the Australia Day weekend so I'm not expecting it to be done tomorrow.
I'd say 5 months is probably long enough, even with Christmas/New Year in the middle.

What speed and circumstances caused that damage? It looks like a fairly slow impact, bit of a worry at speed...

Re: 67 Panel.....finally finished
It was a very low speed impact.
I basically ran out of braking room.
I felt the nose panel crumple in.....almost in slow motion.
But c'mon, we all know what would happen at high speed.
