Yes big smile, been driving it round and it goes very well :!:
Just need to sikaflex the safari window to glass seals in as the new glass is smaller than OG and thats where pretty much all the water is getting in. May plan another trip next month and mossy should be ready for me by then :D

Klaus/Jeff, great job on the ute. Nice to have another one, especially looking like this on the road. I wonder how many chassis numbers its off being a barndoor being a 3/55?

How did you get the old JIX plates put on it? Were they the original ones, if so how did you persuade the RTA to keep em given it was out of rego?

Thanks

Steve

Steve,

Last Barndoor ( according to the registry was 20 118226 ) which was Feb 55, so thats makes this lovely Yoot 2666 chassis numbers off of Barndoor.

My Yoot is May 55 and is nearly 12,000 off of Barndoor so this one is really close...

Klaus N Jeff,

I have just done a little maths and reckon your Yoot was made around 11 March 1955 ( a Friday ) and if we assume the last Barndoor was made on the last working day of Feb 55 ( Monday 28th ) it's damn close.

All I did was take your chassis number away from the last Barny number, divide that by the amount of working days in March 55 and then work forward to your number, it's hit or miss but it won't be to far out..

Mines around May 27th 1955..( a Friday )

Didn't sleep well last night...up early ...thinking...

I'll get my coat......
