Thanks everyone for the welcome / comments.
It's a Jan 57 Kombi and yes it's Dove Blue lurking underneath ( plus some signwriting ) Overall it's in pretty good shape although i will be calling on Al for some of Gerson's finest ! I have the rear taillights and the front bench seat plus the pressed front bumper, but am missing the pressed rear bumper and a rear bench seat .... for now i will throw in bay window rear seats and bumper.
So now the search is on for an IRS Gearbox, early bay rear hubs etc - all the usual stuff to allow me to run a bigger engine and lose the reduction gears.....
Now here's a question ..... i would usually think about undersealing underneath but after reading what Klaus said about the ones he picks up that have been undersealed are usually rotten and the ones painted are usually rot free what should i do with mine ? here's a photo and apart from sills and one outrigger the chassis and rear cargo floor are totally rust free but are bare metal ..........
Cheers.

did you just use the word 'washes'???.. you don't wash yourself, let alone the car!FrankenCab wrote:depends how pedantic u are if its lasted this long and its not rusted thru ,leave it for now , fix the rust and use some decent primer on repaired parts I just like the look of og paint under a car and road crap washes off a smooth surface better than a coarse one
