ENJOY YOUR BUS! Once you start cutting, it never seems to end. Oh just the rocker is rusty. Nope, the inner rocker is going to be gone for sure. Oh the floor is gone too, might as well fix that. What's that? It looks all strange with no paint, might as well paint it...
aargh! It should be painted in 2 weeks.
Klaus' DC has more rust and he's taking it down alot further than I am, plus he's doing a really top notch job on his. Props to him for the great job he's doing!! He's the boss for replacing the bed!! It's going to look super!
Doubles are fun because of all the bed storage space, but all of it has to be cleared away or it's not gonna get finished.
Anyone have suggestions as to what I should do for the bed? It's not perfect by any means but I don't want to spend my life making it 'nice'. I was thinking slicksand and abit of DA sanding?
Munched rear corner before..
Rocker.
Driver side. That yellow stuff is GOOP. I mean filler. I don't really know how to use it, and I am trying to keep it to a minimum. Going to sand most of it off like on my 58 Panel but it's gotta be done.
More filler on the nose.
Goop horror! I was thinking of leaving all the dings and dent but my neighbour talked me into 'fixing' them. We'll see!
Munchie! But luckily this is the only really damaged part.
More goop. The blue stuff is Duraglass. My next door neighbour put that on, I put on the yellow stuff. Hmm. "Perfection only comes with delusion." MOVING FORWARD!
bog whats that ..ha ha , weld fill the dents
and the tray on the 64 is a lowlight sc one cut down 100mm and dions old dc tray thats had the ends folded to replicate the chamfered bit for the short section ...loads of fun ..atleast your at the stage of thinking about paint filler, I'll be happy when the welding is all done ..great work though
Sanded the roof, not fun. But luckily it's pretty decent.
I was dreading working on the deck and it took some time but I like it. It still has some pitted rust. But the deck is made out of different metal? It's very strong. I still have to patch a few spots though.
Original gates are $@#!! hard to get straight. I think my DC had lived an 'easy' life but the gates are goofed. I'm not spending my life making them straight!
The rest of it is pretty straight and I don't want to goop on the goop to get it flat. As soon as I get it painted it's going to get scratched/dented, I know it!
