Thanks boys,

The headlining was used in the mid 50's in Holden's, has little stars in the lining. Very happy with it.

Ended up grabbing a bay tank for the bus (thanks Al).

My next problem is that I have put an Autometre fuel gauge in and am looking at senders that fit, but none of them come close to fitting the hole at the top of the tank with the teeth than slot in...Has anyone modified this before?

Cut the split neck off to attach to the Bay one and picked up the rubber/clamps to attach.

Fits in snug

I've done it on the 55 but with VDO gauges.

the fuel pump is a push style pump and best to mount it below the tank level and horizontal , a coil clamp and coldie holder make good clamps for them too

Cheers mate.

Did a little more progress today. Fitted a fuel sender to the tank, we had to make up a part to secure it but all went well in the end.

Fit the split neck to the bay tank

Made some clamps to secure the tank instead of the straps and placed foam around the top and she aint doing anywhere!!

New engine mount and then engine is now back in

Spent a couple of days on the bus this week. Alot of fiddly stuff, fitting fuel lines and tinkering.

Set up the hoses for the radiator and the stainless pipes below. making up brackets.

Header tank in

Make up brakets for the tow bar.

Clutch and accelerator cable all in.

Have a couple of days of next week am waiting on some parts..

dont see why u couldnt have used the og fuel sensor and maybe ran an in line variable resistor to dial it in to the autometer one , oh and make sure the guages are sealed in the overhead section as wind rain will short them out n wreck them pretty quick..good to see progress
