Darwin to Valla

Well I started out yesterday at about 1.30pm
Did about 450 kms
Slept in van at a rest stop just out of Laramah
It was one chilli morning,forgot my Beanie,no hair = cold head
Started of at about 7 going great guns
Engine light came on? Just a loose spark plug lead
Got to 3 ways at about 2.30 pm filled up thought I would give the engine a quick check as just hit the 1000 km mark oil leaking from the sump
Turns out I have crack in the sump (ej22 modified sump for lowered vans)
So a few phone calls to Darwin and a friend knows a local guy at Tennent Creek 25 km down the road
So I pop in and say gday and tell him the story no worries mate I have a hoist with nothing on it and a welder you can use took the sump off this evening and will be ready for welding first in the morning
Hopefully back on the road by 11am
Valla by Thursday arvo? I hope

Hi Guys
Still rolling to Valla
Well not much time 4 pics just finished driving its 11pm and its soooo cold
Started at 7 this morning
Had a few more dramas

split coolant line on some dodgy gravel detour on Qld boarder
Think I may have also done a head gasket gonna try some chemiweld in the morning
1 spark plug lead shagged
Chipped me windscreen too
On the plus side oil sump not leaking

Think I have 1200 kms to go
Then time to relax and have a few bevvies

If you make it and don't get hard luck trophy , then them Farrkers that beat you must have died on there trip ... Good Work !!!
