I think that is all Dion is hearing at the moment to
Its a well known fact an OG SC will always be worth more than a DC with a checker plate tray, towel rails and PINK plates

Love it ...and your very welcome to the speedo, it was about time parts went south from here instead of parts coming here all the time.

Very very nice, Dion. PG/SG is my favourite. Don't see too many and the only scheme I've seen with the contrasting pinstripes. Sure there are other schemes that have it though.

Thanks kids, it's slowly collecting bits to make the car!!
Mr flip flop, I have no pinstripes on this girl. Very strange an there is no remenants of them either.. I've looked but nothing. Oh well..

Got these now too.

Just makes it more rare, I've seen more with than without, then again 55 pg/sg microbus, the last thing I'll be looking at is pinstripes. Going to be sweet.

had to trial fit the bulkhead just be make sure it will look like it should

It's got a bend in it but I'm sure that will come good when I install it properly. Then red oxide an try to paint match as good as possible to match the rest of the car.

an i thought id make a start on the little things..
3/55 speedo, again thanks ian an shaun
Image

started the pull apart
Image

had a fair hit on the face which has bent the faces and the needle shaft holder thingy whatever its called..
Image

little bit of gentle persuasion and straighter
Image
because of the smashed face the unit was full of glass shards and wouldnt let the mechs rotate properly. a good clean out with wd-40 sorted out that problem and all spins freely now..

after an hour of playin with another speedo tryin gently to get the needle off, it came off... in pieces
Image

so some tweezers and some special glue..
Image

zeroed out
Image

then back together, the needle didnt crack when pushed back to original position either so should hold up, i hope...
Image

installed the backing light colors
Image

then housing back on and new glass.. tested with a screwdriver for now, might install in the oval to test it out and make sure its close to what the miles should be..
