Hello all, yet another newbie here

Post by Luke62 »

Well, joined a few days ago and have been looking around a little... great site.
I have a 62 11 window that I bought a couple of weeks ago for restoration, I'm new to VW so this will be a big learning curve.
When I figure out the story with uploading photos I'll get a couple of pics up :)

Cheers all, Luke

Hopefully that link takes you to the album, pse let me know if it doesn't work... you cannt really tell but the passengers side has some pretty bad areas, the drivers side is no where near as bad.

Ok cool... I thought it was in bad shape when I finally layed eyes on it, it was as the owner said but it was bought sight unseen... things are always a surprise like that... but after looking around the site people have done amazing things with vehicles much worse off...

Lucky for me it came with a couple of grand of repair panels so am off to a good start, just have to build myself a work bench and dolly wheels first off. Once underway I'll look at starting a build thread... seems to be good for motivation and information, there are some good ones for me to follow...

thanks mate, compliments of the season to everyone... if anybody could point me in the direction of a thread or web site dealing with the top side door frame (the body of the vehicle not the side doors) and upper areas of front passngers window around to the door frame upper... again on the vehicle body not the actual doors. I can see a number of sites that have repair sectiions for the lower areas but not so much for just under the roof section...

:) cheers

Hey thanks Leroy, nice one... thats Louis the guy I bought it off (I think.. never met him, nice guy through out the process) doing the delivery as I wasn't around.
You can see the rust in the upper passengers window frame/ A pillar... same back above the cargo doors.

Thanks again :)
