Cheers mate, I've got a few months before I'm off to work in the snow again so I'm making the most of it.
Next on the list while the bus is out of the workshop is the rear hatch.
Gave it a bead blast with a medium glass bead then started on the rust repairs. I ened up cutting out the bottom flat panel as it was bad.

you can see the big bump in the corner.

Plenty of rust underneath but a good blasting takes care of that.
Image
nice and clean now
Image
Test fit of the new skin then its on to rust/primer spray.

On to tack welding the panel on small welds then water to cool.
Image
Note the bar under the door to stop warping from the welding

Primed and ready for fitting ;)

Here's my rear valance from ebay or whats left of it.
I spent 2 days on this rebuilding it carefully cutting out the rusted areas then using them as templates.

Cheers guys, still got the rear rubber seal edging to make for it and that will be a challenge. The good news is the bus is back under cover in its new home and its super happy. Getting ready for blasting time :)
