Gday from country vic
Gday DSK, finally got around to becoming a member of this great forum.
Been into vw for nearly 20 years but just starting to get back into them more now in last few years after been in vw wilderness due to marriage, kids, house building and playing farmer. Thankfully I never sold any of my cars especially the split bus, It's a 63 MB that was ruby red/ polar white from factory but not when I bought it of a lovely lady in Adeliaide.
She used the bus for the purpose of participating in the SA Variety club bash , so it was pale pink with lady bugs front and back with a hundred stickers and flashing lights it was ugly and it took me a long time to convice myself to look past the paint and look how solid and well looked after it was. This was 13 years ago and paid 4300 for it and it came with a fridge worth a grand and it got RWC straight up so it was solid just ugly. Now I know u guy will be wanting to see some photo's of this beast so once i work out how to upload photos ill start a build thread it is a little late since i hope to be rolling in a couple of months but still a long way from been completly finished if there is such a thing.
Thanks for reading hope it wasn't to much and look out for X 63 SA bash split in members rides and projects
Cheers

Re: Gday from country vic
Cheers spider, thanks for posting those photos for me.
The first four are of when i picked up the bus and was on our way home from Adeliade, the second lot of four photos are of a trip down the great ocean road sticker less and the bottom left hand photo was in Halls Gap with the new paint job done at home in the workshop ( I would say its about a 50 footer job )
The next lot of photos are of the work ive been doing with the help of a good mate (champ) doing alot of the fabricating of steering box raise, new outside 100mm top hat sections, new floor section under cargo doors, pillars, sill section.
I will start a build thread once I get organized but this will give you guy a idea of what I started with.
Thanks for looking
