Re: niko's 61 microbus
Yeh, hopefully I wont hit the box on the ground.
Here's a little custom mirror action as I was bored waiting for more primer to come in.
I wanted some thing a little different and went for a hang down mount. Used 10mm stainless rod and 25mm flat bar to make it up.
Started with a template
stainless flat bar cut into shape
Backing plate slotted in behind and plug welded in
weld back up
Bend rod and mirror in place
Door swings open with out hitting the mirror too

Re: niko's 61 microbus
Bit of a change from the body, went for the one eyed duck this time
Don't want to screw into the front panel so going the earth magnet method.
First off dremel out the back of it
Earth magnet inner mount
run a stainless bolt though and fasten the mount then insert the magnet.
Add a little black rtv silicone to the under side to protect the paint work and Job done, these little suxers take a heap of pull to remove!!

Re: niko's 61 microbus
Ended up getting the creative ones from the busstop not cheap but good quality and they now are alloy welded hinges not glued like in the past.
