Re: niko's 61 microbus
not much to report apart from weeks of sanding, filler, blocking, feeling with my hand, swearing, and redoing it all over again a million times!! Anyone thinks they can do body work on a bus in a few weeks is dreaming. On to the cargo doors and then the front doors and will take a few more weeks

Not sure on the air beam yet need to talk to the engineer about it first. The second one is a 2" raised and narrowed one just to run around on before I bag it.red hot bus wrote:Looking good Niko, what are the plans air beam? 10mm Steel for the side plates, was going to get them laser cut but thought bugger it I'll make them instead. I played with the template raising the tubes 2".
Chopped out the shape with a 5" grinder then used a metal hole saw for the tube holes. Both side plates are tacked together to unsure accuracy.
test fit
tigwelded
added brace
