Tassie 67
Hi All,
I have been a Bay window man for over 10 years now and a active member of the Kombi Forums. A few years ago I picked up a 67 splitty in pretty good shape down here in Tas. I am now well into the resto and have it documented on the kombi forum, I have always wanted to show you guys who will appreciate the build but finding the time for both with my computer skills and kids is too hard.
Any way here are a few pics to give you the idea of what I have done.
Sandblasted.
Etched and in the shed.

Re: Tassie 67
Sorry about the lack of commentary with these pics but the next few are just about where I am now. Winter in Tassie is just around the corner so I skipped ahead of final blocking to concentrate on painting underneath, at least when its -3 degree after work i can start on the beams ext and leave the paint until summer.
I built the rottisorie in the shed and it only needed a few minor tweaks to get the bus to roll. I used De Beers 2 pak paint clear over base. I choose a bright yellow which will have a white top. Painting under this thing was a pretty full on session, all the nooks and crannies saw paint being blown every direction and the shed was a cloud of lamboghini yellow but the result is fine for below. A few runs but who cares.

Yellow wasn't my first choice either. After a year of changing my mind my wife convinced me it should be yellow! I think it will look good once broken up with the white and chrome. Too late now I suppose…
No spot welder. Just a small mig.
