Hi from WA - 61 Split

Post by Tarzan »

Hi all, Tarzan here,
finally scored myself a Splitty after having owned 2 beetles, 2 lic beach buggies and a type 3 in the past...

the bus is still a bare shell with a new 1600TP fitted. keeping it stock till it's licensed.
looking for some bits, currently looking for a front seat base or complete seat if need be. and either a rear seat or a rock n roll seat for the rear.
hope to find parts and pick peoples brains on here...

Welcome to DSK, Tarzan. Plenty of knowledge here on all things Split...... :)

Seats are a bit hard to come by but maybe somebody can help you out. Post up some photos of your new Splitty.

Hey Miki,
its got a rebuilt 1600TP, planning on basically a stock interior and exterior, with mods limited to things that can be returned to stock if required in the future. looking at the normal mods like lowered and a set of rims, it'll will be used for advertising for our body peircing shop. so some sort of retro sign writing will be placed on it as well.
