Rear rockn roll seat is next, pretty straight forward with the mounting.

Lookn good mate, about to go down this track as well, job 4 of 1000

do you mind advising which RnR you got? PM if you like.

What are people experiencing with the non ADR RnR's when registering their projects for the first time in 20-50 years, i know each state will have their own quasi law's and idiosyncrasies of local inspectors  South Aussie guy's your experience ?

Keep up the work, very keen to see your other 29 boxes. What motor are you going with?

Rob.

That is one of Jamies rock and rolls from Kustom Kombi. I got mine in the Valla Special for $900 for a full kit pickup.
Very good quality unit and it is the only ADR compliant seat.

That's correct because of all the other mods mine has to be a compliant version.
Easy seat to put in, just need to work out seat belt mounts too.

Don't know if this train of thought helps. I gave my seat belt mounts a bit of planning and I have decided to copy this setup.
The three point belts used to run from floor to shoulder to floor and they were paint to use. I now run them from floor to shoulder to engine lid.
My bed mattress has cut outs for their locations. I did think about having the bed foam notched over the top of them but it was not going to be practical to carry out. So they are just notched.

These photos were stolen from the net.

I did similar to this but I actually kept mine as low as possible so they will sit under the top level of the mattress and effectively be out of site.
Middle belt runs from the floor.

I have also put in captive nuts for 3 baby anchor point on the top quarter of the angled bulkhead and it looks like it will work well and be out of sight when not required. Not sure if you have kids and need this or not.

Looks good Brad, I'm going to go with lap style ones for the all the back seats, not really to keen on mounting belts up high plus its just me and the wife up front every one else can suffer ;)

Is it legal to run laps only on the outside?

I had lap belts engineered for the van (about 5 years ago)

He wasn't that keen but we got our way eventually.

6 pop out hinges and latches next, these things were a pain to get closing right, ended up having to bend the window frame mounts to get no binding when closing.

hey Niko,

What measurements did you use for the hinges, i.e. from front of window frame back etc. Will be doing mine shortly and didn't know if to do with rubbers in frame and on pop out?
How did you end up fixing the hinges, welded, pop riveted??

Thanks mate.

easy, I just put the hinge up against the body as far in as they go, I used the body rubber in but no seal on the frames. I stainless tig welded the hinges in place.
