1957 Samba - 23 Window found :) Share from Canada.
So some guy randomly emails says he has a bus for sale and sends me a picture.
So, yeah. What am I supposed to do? His directions are super vague, and about 10 hours driving time away, in the middle of nowhere. RIGHT. I talk to him a bit more and he seems serious and not just trolling me and I have nothing better to do, so I set off on my journey. Expecting the worst (a 20 hour round tripper) but I wound up with a nice object!
As I was smiling ear to ear (I won't get into the 8 hours of loading it from a really tricky location), I got pulled over. Whee! Didn't even bother me. The BC RCMP guy was a little put off by me agreeing to everything that he didn't even give me a fine. But he had to tow my truck and trailer because of some tight British Columbia Dot restrictions. Alberta is more redneck I guess (my truck is a beast, it has a winch hanging off the deck and it probably is the ugliest truck in oil boom town Alberta, but I saves my money for buses!).
They towed me to a yard and the tow guy was nice enough to drop me off at a hotel. It was a bit worrying to leave my nice treasure trove in some random town yard, but the cop said he would personally check on it! In the morning, I got things sorted out and headed home.

But I will also say, thanks mate! It's a lucky find for sure, hard to find original paint 23 Windows lying around.

The Samba came with a few extra bits and pieces 6 complete Ragtop bus assemblies is pretty nice, doors, middle seat etc.
The bulkhead has been hacked and there is a big dent on the front/back.
Plenty of work and rust to deal with but first I need to clear up some garage space!

Well, it felt like a troll The price was just ridiculous, the pictures were too perfect etc.
The rest of the windows and parts were included, it's too bad it sat outside for so long, but eeh, I AM HAPPY! I need to clear up some space for it in the shop.
I have a 3 x 15 Windows, including a pressed bumper 15 Window and sadly some of the buses have to wait outside
