More progress, drivers side step. This one was worse so I was left working in thin air!

Also got the front bumper fitted, thanks to a new pair of bumper brackets.

finally finished in the cab.
Ive decided Its the rust repairs in the corners that really chew up the hours.

nother day done, mainly spent sitting in the wheel arches and crawling under the bus. Quite a lot of Yoga for a guy my size I can tell you
Im covered in little spatter burns, what a crazy project this is:!:
The spare wheel well now makes a nice BONG noise the MIG welds have tightened up everything.
No more tight corners for a while, next up the floor is going in should be easy laying it down on the all new Ibeams and tophats.

elded the floor in, the 4 repair panels worked out well and kept the budget under control. It took a day to weld them in though and used up lots of MIG gas.

This was my world today, crammed into the engine bay welding with my hand through the tail light hole. Yeah so Im pretty much sore everywhere, but happy with the result at the end of the day.

Glad you can see a few things that help I learned a lot on here too, so its cool to be able to pay it forward.
its really easy with all the repair panels so available and many good suppliers in aussie too, gives me more appreciation for the guys restoring rare cars like vintage porches alphas etc.

Well I dont have any pretty pictures, but the project is still moving ahead
parts coming in and getting fitted this week, getting on a first name basis with the local couriers
was pretty happy to find oil in the redux boxes and no leaks.
no oil in the steering box though, the output seal is no good.
Clutch pedal is pretty sloppy, anyone tried a shaft refurb kit?
