good to see a young bloke getting stuck in,when i was your age my dad would rather me be in the garage with him than getting upto no good, and when the bus is done what better feeling driving around in a vw you have put your time into
keep welding and grinding and you will be rewarded

WEll

I read your plight in Anything goes Cozza and went here to check progress

Pics are not coming up so fix that first (at night when your not on the bus)

Set some small goals ,achieve it and move on .

plan you next move months a head dont get bogged down with lack of parts

So there ya go I have bump this thread for you now its up to you :wink:

So just a few years down the track after going overseas ect we got back into,
it is at the painters, should be done in 2-3 weeks
I'll post a few pics when I'm at the computer

Just after the bus got blasted


And a few other photos.
All body work was done by Stuart at Veedub insomnia!

New side, nose, rear corner, all supports underneath, doglegs, pillars, outer sills etc

And fitted with an adjustable spring plate from Fresh Customs

My Dad's Kombi circa 1967 at Taronga Zoo. I'm the light weight with the skinny legs, my older brother is doing the roof jump!

Thanks fellas!
Been a Long time, almost 9 years I think since I bought it.

But have momentum now and aiming to be on the road end of this year!

Latest hiccup is my rear shift rod, somewhere in the process of taking it out (probably 9 years ago)
It snapped, can't really remember.

So trying to find a replacement or one to borrow that I can copy or the exact dimensions to fix mine.
