Thanks guys

Due to an act of massive stupidity on my part I'm going to have to go back and re-do a section of the roof..... :(

The lesson here is don't take your grinder to the underside of the roof just to touch something up when that roof has paint on top.....grrrr heat bubbles

Roof repair done and now have the engine bay primered.

I had some Stone chip stuff left over so thought I'd hose a bit around on the underneath of the parcel tray to help sound proof it a little. Another coat went on after this pic.

I did a big day in the shed yesterday and managed to get the interior all primed as well. I'm hoping to get the interior in paint by next Sunday as I'm then off to the US for a couple of weeks but it might be a bridge too far. The weather up here is getting warmer and more humid and it soon gets like a sauna in a paint suit ......

Big weekend to get this done before i go away tomorrow- There is a lot of bloody paint on the interior of a splitty! Lots of sanding and lots of wiping down...

I got through about 5 litres of water getting this in paint today, still re-hydrating now I think. It was 35C in the shed with about 65% humidity  Jealous of you southerners today!

The colour looks a little washed out in the pics but it really pops in person. Very happy with this colour choice

Still poking away slowly but its troppo season here which means about 35C every day and high humidity  Not good shed weather...

Beam is apart and hopefully going back together shortly, and the rebuilt trans with 3.88 ring & pinion has arrived back from Dave Butler.

Body is being made as ripple free as I can - tip for young players is to just go hard and smear it on the filler thick from the start, otherwise you end up going back and doing multiple runs and no one wants to sand the side of a Kombi any more time than you have to! amazing how much ends up on the floor.

Don't think I'm going to get it in paint by Xmas somehow.
