Cheers Gaz... appreciate it mate.

OK... Gates done & dusted finally. 3-4 goes with trying to match the paint colour... Not perfect but the next best thing.

Well it's been awhile since Leo checked in.
After owning him for 13yrs, I've sent him off to the beauticians for an overhaul. Rebuilding gearbox, rebuilding my 2L Type4 with sharpbuilt conversion kit (I was going brand new but cost + a health scare made me reassess) & whatever else we can find, change, upgrade.
Then he is off to the nail artist for some paint & makeup :P

Well the lad is finished... Leo has been away for months & ready to be picked up. BUT now fuck'n Pallajack has him stuck in QLD (working on getting him back to NSW).

In the end we basically upgraded/or went new on everything from the gearstick down & to the exhaust.

Gearbox upgraded, all new mounting/nosecone, super diff etc, Engine upgrade/painted. I stayed with the Type 4 2ltr with Sharpbuilt kit (but it's now a solid 2.3ltr & 95% new, 105 rwhp), brakes/brake lines, CV’s complete, new gauges, battery, VS exhaust etc basically all underneath stripped, replaced, new & serviced. Through him on the dyno & the lads were very happy. Give me torque 😋 but freeway cruzin speed. That was my request. Can’t wait to get him back.

Now the exterior changes to follow 🤙🏻

Hey Linz, yeah pretty stoked from what I've been told. I'm looking forward to driving him & comparing the difference. Once I pick Leo up I'll have to get the full specs for the box & engine. Most is on the quote but I'll get a detailed run down. Don't worry. New double pluggers ready to go (work boots) 🤙🏻

Well after months away from home Leo is back. WOW ... can not explain how stoked I am with all the work that was done & the end result. Took it easy coming home. Gave it 3-4 little quirts just to see what could be done ... I think I need a new speedo 🤪

Now for the external makeover 🤭

Then I had old mate in his shitty car overheated on the M1 🤦🏻‍♂️ 😂
