Gday ogrule. The screw holes are for the rubber bump stops that the seat rests on. I thought this was strange as there is nothing really holding the seat back against the bulkhead. Nothing like a head on when the seat throws you out the front safari!!!!

There's a rubber stopper that screws to the bulkhead. It essentially stops the top of the seat from hitting the bulkhead.
