Well it's still not on the road yet but it's getting closer. Pretty much the metal Work is done. Replacing the front inner and out valance was a challenge without touching the nose but got it done. I got half way through painting the under side in a cream stone guard until I ran out and couldn't get any more for a couple months. Just had some more arrive so once I finish that off I can move onto assembly. Of all my freshly powder coated parts.

Still plodding away at this got the underside all painted now. I wasn’t completely happy with the long side sill so I redid it. Previously I repaired it below the floor line but it was starting to swell between the floor and the long panel. so I cut it just above the floor blasted the edge and redid it. Much happier now knowing it should last a lot longer.
I managed to find an original upholstery seat with the 61 only amber tail lights. So out with the newly upholstered seat and in with the original.

Re: 66 bus, 58 bus and a 58 ute.
Before I brought the seat and lights, I got this 58 bug just because it had extra indicators added back in the day. That were 61 Amber bus indicators but it’s not a bad little
Bug anyway so that was my excuse for buying it haha. I’ve started building a simple 1641 with ratty tinware to
Chuck in the panel eventually Also managed to find a matching patina rear hatch for the other panel van. All I’m missing panel wise for this van now is an engine lid if anyone has one in matching patina let me know. All for some reason picked up this late model fastback just because I loved the patina

Re: 66 bus, 58 bus and a 58 ute.
Still plugging away at the panel most of which isn’t picture/post worthy. How ever I was never quite happy with the replacement I did on the bulk head. So out it come again. Sand blasted in behind it all. Bit the bullet and purchased the first brand new bulkhead in Aus. Quite happy with it, I think my car was out a bit from not having a bulkhead for so long. So it was easier for me to modify the bulkhead rather than adjust the car. Only other thing I wasn’t quite happy with was the top hat section thingy that goes across the top was shorter than it should be. Still need to finish that bit off. Getting closer to being on the road though.

KF panel Coop? That’s going to save a lot of busses! Looking good.
