Mate that roof is what the experts call “fucked”. Such a gorgeous bus deserves either a good solid roof or dare I say it....a rag.

As far as the dogleg goes, the gerson panels need so much tweaking that I’d consider buying a complete KF DL and then using the inner and cutting up the outer to patch yours. Depends how well the repro outer fits. If you have to cut it at all might as well save some OG metal.

Keep up the good work mate.

Looking at your dogleg it has a bit of filler, not much OG paint left?

All ready bought a KF inner, and was thinking if a autocraft outa would marry up with a KF ?
Did wonder about unpicking the remains of the inner of the og outa and fixing the og outa to the new KF inner would still need to buy the bottom repair section from KF
Will think on it

Thought u be happy about the rag top sunroof matt, looks like I'll be looking at the stars while I sleep in the bus instead of listening to those 48 Ida's

Yep filler over the og paint for some reason that's what's gone on around the rest of the bus, might try and remove it and see what left of the og paint and make a call then
What's your thoughts on autocraft outta dogleg ?

I’ve not used an autocraft DL bit it shouldn’t be a problem to mix KF and AC inner outer, shit my KF inners and outers didn’t fit each other for shit so couldn’t be any worse

Save those 48’s for a beetle. Busses aren’t meant to be fast.

Hey mate you can't do that dogleg till you have a door to hang in there to check for gaps, an you can't do that till you fix that B pillar, an you can't do that B pillar till you finish the cargo floor an fit the cargo doors, so there's lots of work to do before that dogleg

Yep was aware of all those steps that need to taken, just thought u would love to hear some og paint talk ha ha . It's a jigsaw puzzle to put back together but u forgot another one cargo doors and hinges need some love as well. Might handball them to a champ to straighten out don't think my farmers crow bar will work to good with them

Also took the oval to day of in Melbourne last weekend
Not a lot of treasures found at the swapmeet but I did score a NOS repair section for above the drivers door, not the side I need for the mango but hopefully will make it easier to copy and make one for the passenger side
