Re: 21 rat
Having people work on your car can be really fucking slow when u just want shit done!
Iv had some progress on the samba happy with the quality of work being done but wish it was faster, sill now complete with a bit more to go on the drivers dogleg, needing to do the headlight support panel now as well when the lower nose is done
Also Iv changed the direction of the build with the airbags, with the lefty I bought already having tubs and chassis notch all the bag stuff is going in that and once the metal work is all finished on the 21 the new 11window will be robbed of its 2276 freeway flyer narrowed beam and willwood disc break set up, will all go nicely under the 21

Re: 21 rat
In between another bus and setting up a new shop the 21 was pushed aside for a bit, roof is finished front metal will be finished this week and the bus will be put on rings to roll over and finish up a couple of small bit underneath, has had the steering box raised and should be off to have the underside blasted in the next few weeks

Re: 21 rat
Most of the metal work is now finished, just needing to spot weld in side window popout hinges safari bits and 2 repairs on the tailgate, had the whole underside sandblasted and etch primes and all sealered up for stone guard and paint today, will just be trying to blend over all of the repairs, hopefully body work is finished by end of the week and I can start fitting it out

I’m pretty sure 10 years is a conservative estimation SteveSteve Keeley wrote:6 years??? Ha, thats quick! I'm closer to 10, though the ends in sight.tatvw wrote:Metal work all finished, laid down some paint today, only taken 6 yrs!!!!
I’m not really a big fan of the whole rat thing but there is something so refreshing about a ratty deluxe. I guess it’s because most get all dressed up with shitty aftermarket parts. Need to get a photo with iron horse, Colin’s 23 and this bus. Like a who’s who of ratty deluxes.
