So I haven't disappeared again, I just got stuck on a project that took ages to work out.
Here is what happened.

I was trying to build a metal folder that would cope with the width of my engine lid, thats almost 1 metre wide.
As it turned out, this was tricker than I imagined, and led me down a funky rabbit hole.

Thanks everyone

A small update, but big investment.
I invested in a motorised bead roller, after watching the experts build incredible things, I felt I would give it a go.

I can't stop now, last time I did it took 7 years to start again

And speaking of not stopping, I don't intend to slow down now that the weather is getting colder. So I've started to work on the shed to stay warmer.

It didn't take long to fill the shed with stuff.
No matter how big a shed you get, it's never enough.

great work joe, insulating the shed is best thing to do, mine is super warm when its cold outside. Earthwool and ply over it helps with the sound too.

Its slow work, but getting there.
I'll be using French cleats on the back wall for flexible storage, and a heavy duty shelf on the side.

For the ceiling I'm using an Australian product called FoilBoard, which is easy to install.

So the ceiling insulation is rated at R4 (25mm foam with aluminium coating both sides.
I worked out that I need 28 sheets, and instead of lining the garage roof, I'm thinking of just using it to insulate the kombi.
28 x 4 = R112, this should keep the kombi cool in summer, warm in winter :D
