I think my skills are definitely better suited to a coordination role if I want it to see the light of day within a reasonable time frame! I also have a pre August 1959 Karmann Ghia that is in quite good condition and is used 2-3 times per week. The original plan was to take that off the road and give it a scmick resto however as that is already on the road the single cab has just moved up into pole position!

The first bunch were yesterday's pictures - here are todays. If I'm not posting these right please let me know
I am hoping to get some answers to that from you guys re: where it all started from but what I know of its recent history is that it and another single cab (64-66) came off a farm in SA. A guy picked them both up a couple of months ago and arranged a local in Adelaide to sell on his behalf.
All thats left of the other one are two front doors, gearbox, axles, reduction gears and some front end stuff. I took photos of the doors and will put on parts 4 sale shortly.
By the weirdest coincidence the owner who had it before the farmer saw it after I had bought it but before I picked it up and told the local guy that he had reconditioned the motor six years ago. When I went to pick it up we tested it and it fired up straight away and she sounds sweet. A big bonus I had not expected

Hi there Lobus - you're dead right there we are recent converts to the area and love it. Hadn't pondered that dilema just yet but I reckon it would just cope with first prize in the local raffle - 64 dozen bottles of premium local produce!
And hi to all that have left a note too - looking forward to keeping in touch/catching up where possible.
Will post a couple of KG in other rides section after the weekend.

Hi there Murray
Not sure. The original plan was to store her until a few housey things are finished - gotta keep everyone happy Now that I know she actually starts I am going to see whether I can get her registered easily or if she has to go over the pits. If they will grant rego without an inspection I will see what else is needed to get her up and running and go from there.
We have a big, long hill we need to get up to get to the city so can't wait to see how she goes up that - maybe its a good thing its not a bus or a panel!
