Steve great tip on the Cab Air Vent and only you could come up with this.
I pulled mine out of the 57 then got so frustrated trying to put it in that I left it disconnected so now it rattles.
Pointless accessory anyway messes with your hair at anything over 50ks!

so Colin hears rattling- maybe a loose screw somewhere. Any one else owning up to hearing this? Maybe the years of sitting surrounded by decibel level hearing destroying sound has taken a toll?

Got a quick look at this today and it’s going to be worth the wait! The SB is beautiful, can’t wait to see it out in the sun. Keep going Dr NOS.

Congrats Steve, its been a long and winding road but you haven't wavered at all so all kudos to you. Looking forward to seeing it under its own propulsion in the not too distant future.
No matter what happens they can't take you out in the street and shoot you......

so, slow and steady. NOS steel grab handle, shift lock, speedo, fuel gauge , indicator and wiper switch. Restored clock, Blaupunkt Frankfurt, steering lock and steering wheel.

Looking lovely! Tell me about your Blaupunkt. I have a 58 Koln for my 23 that I need to have looked over (don't have a recommendation for me do you?)
I've always wondered where do the Sperwolf immobilizer wires go to? Nice accessory. I have a couple of the waso ones but they dont have the immobiliser stuff.
cheers
Dale

Re: 21 window- in the beginning
Dale- try nostalgic wireless in Melbourne. Don't expect a quick turnaround. I had my T34 radio restored there. The Koln is the pick of the bunch as far as vintage Blau's go- good score. My Blaupunkt came from Old-time radios in Germany years ago when you could afford them. The shift locks that came with the electrical switch were usually wired to be the ignition - same terminal #'s. The bus versions of the lock need an adaptor plate that sits below the body of the lock.
