Had been told that but it looked like it wasn't welded to any of the top hats from factory when I pulled the old one out many moons ago

I’m in the garage tomorrow I’ll have a look at mine for you. I’d say if it’s close enough to weld it’s worth doing anyway just to strengthen it up.

So on both my bus and the chassis section I have here the clutch tube is either welded to every top hat/cross member OR where it doesn’t touch it is welded to one of the other conduits which is then welded to the top hat/I beam.

Welded it this arvo to all top hats
How about the hand brake conduits are they welded as well to the top hats

Handbrake welded at each I beam and cross member. On the later busses they went THROUGH the I beams and were welded too.

Not a lot of progress due been busy with grain harvest but out riggers and centre cross members going in

Working on the cargo door sill
Also working fitting the floor and making sure I've got enough clearance for bottom of the cargo doors to shut
Looks like I got a lot of plug welds and grinding coming up

The grinding is a shit job but it’s so good to have a 100% perfect floor mate. Don’t be a slack bastard, double weld every ridge like the factory did. Do it once, do it properly.

Yeah not bad, still 10 mm short at the back if u want it to be 100% correct and some trimming around uprights and c and b pillars but apart from that happy days
