Good job mate. It makes a massive difference having the floor in, it will feel like a real bus again.

Working on the floor
Got high zinc paint where the floor sits on the top hats and I beams

Put the floor in the bus to mark out where to start drilling holes
Had to buy a enamel white pen to mark out the lines
image.jpg
Spent a cozy arvo in the shed drilling holes
Was 36 c here today to hot to play farmer outside was my vote
First was mark out holes, centre punch every hole, drill holes ( air punch on the sides) , de burr one side of hole , filp over and counter sunk each hole for a nice puddle of weld
That a lot of drilling 250+ hole per half
Bring on the welding and grinding

Ready to start welding the floor in
Cleaned up all the spots that need to be welded with a flat drill
image.jpg
Copper gave me the tip to drill into the I beams to get a better and stronger weld
image.jpg
Getting a bit agricultural with the railway line used as weights
image.jpg
Got half of the floor welded in heading back to the shed tonight for more welding and tunes and plenty of sweating

I’m guessing there’s not much farming getting done over the coming days
