Back on this, made up a long side from something that was given to me, it’s not nice, but perfect for this, and I ain’t putting new rear corners on it, so I just cut them off above the bumper and pushed the bumper under them, done!, got it back on the rotisserie today and am welding it up

Today I tried to straighten the side as best I could, it’s actually fairly straight, bit of bog and you won’t know that it was a piece of junk that someone threw out

Honestly I could write anything, as I’m pretty sure nobody reads it, most people just look at the pictures, be good to catch up mate on the weekend, I hear Rusty is coming as well and Rodger might make it half way if he’s driving that bus of his, should be a great day

Re: 61 split ute
I’d half written a response about all the issues a rearward shifter would cause when I realised I may be getting reeled in Keep going Wiz.

Oh I’m serious on moving the shifter, also the hand brake, I have found a shifter that I like, look up luftcraftfabrication on instagram. There’s no heater tube on this Ute, the trans is 30mm higher than standard, the shift tube will run along the top of the cargo floor, bucket seats, tool chest is cut out, I wouldn’t attempt it without all these alterations. Hey last week I thought about putting a type 3 Auto in it!

Only a wizzard would even contemplate any of this! Personally whenever i check out what you’re up to I'm a bit speechless. But I know it will be cool when done. Keep up the awesome work Wizvanell wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 5:14 pm Oh I’m serious on moving the shifter, also the hand brake, I have found a shifter that I like, look up luftcraftfabrication on instagram. I don’t see the problem with moving it, vw did it a few times also. If it works better who cares! Haha

Re: 61 split ute
Short side on today, I have to say that the Klassic Fab treasure chest door is a piece of junk, and to think I paid $750 for it, I guess it will match the rest of the junk panels I’m putting on it!
