Re: 67 microbus
Some more paint prep and filler coat. I think he’s getting nervous about the long side and getting his bearings on the short side.
Confident it’s going to come up better than I anticipated, so might be a little precious with it until the first scratch.
Anyway here’s some updates and in no particular order thanks to my shit photo loading skills

There was some flex in the panel under the air intake louvre so a little pulling, stretching and it firmed up nicely

Thanks Gents.
He said late May to June but I’m not holding my breath based on his progress. Going to put the acid on him this week because otherwise i can see it dragging on.
Ideally I want to be behind the wheel late spring and paint is the only thing chewing up valuable time at the moment.

Thanks Steve. Yeah it’s definitely the toughest part of any resto getting someone reliable and reasonably priced.

Re: 67 microbus
The long side gets filler applied in preparation for the high fill.
I’ve been asked to drop in tomorrow because they are having trouble with the cargo doors. Can’t imagine why, although they did catch a little at the top. Hopefully it’s something straight forward rather than a delay.

Re: 67 microbus
If you want to make that rear trans cradle engineer ready before paint it just needs some 2mm steel welded inside the top hat section on the flat spanning the cut. I’m pretty sure Nick Bentley (rusty oval or something similar on here) told me that. Realistically it’s bloody fine as it is but just in case you ever want to go down that road.
