Re: 61 split ute
ahh, interesting, thanks mate, I'm considering mounting externally under the floor, in line with the OG tubes.

You certainly won't be cold wiz.. These things crank out the heat, even the smallest rated units.. Should be awesome.

Warb the Only problem I see with that is the cabin air intake is in the unit. Maybe better under the back seat , then plum it into original heater tube
Got it running today and have to say it’s Awesome!

Re: 61 split ute
for sure man, been running an external for camping, on the very lowest setting its sometime too warm, even when it's freezing outside and split between the trailer and bus, so the lost recirculation is not really an issue for me. however always something to consider. youll love em, i also suggest mixing 50/50 diesel and kero, better burn, need the diesel to lube the pump.

Re: 61 split ute
No fumes in the cabin mate, intake and exhaust for the diesel part of the heater are underneath
It’s separate to the air intake and heat out inside the cabin

Crank it up Warb and you could cook pizzas in that trailer as a side hassle when camping.
Ideas man

Re: 61 split ute
I’m off to visit a friend in Melbourne who isn’t too well, left yesterday because I knew it was going to be a bad day today
1835 works a treat, 100klm’s an hour easy, and nice to accelerate up hills, no more constant looking in the mirror for me
Diesel heater is awesome, in fact too hot, gotta drive with the side window open

The trouble with once in a lifetime is that it only happens once. ReVolks is in October, you and Big Dave had better get cracking or else both of you will be in the Triton

Nothing better than cruising with the heaters on full noise and with the windows open in wintervanell wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 11:19 am I’m off to visit a friend in Melbourne who isn’t too well, left yesterday because I knew it was going to be a bad day today
