Re: 60 11 window
Fucking help give me a chance mate!
Thanks Cooper for the advice, put it into action today and definitely helped.
Spent the first half of today on the roof, nearly have the drivers side to a point I’m happy with. This is the side I replaced the 100mm above the gutter the whole length of the bus so I knew it would be some work.
Started with this Slowly getting there Just working my way back and forth sorting a little bit more each pass Needed a break from the bloody roof and straightened out the seal channel for the tailgate, didn’t take a before pic but here’s half way and done
shit I’m doing a Brad aren’t I?

Re: 60 11 window
So In my effort to get away from the roof I had a crack at fixing the rear body seams. On both side of the bus the seams dipped in where they joined.
Drivers side first Busting out the new tool After some pushing
And then onto the passenger side
Before Got the belt line straight but the rear panel is welded in with a step so can’t get it any better than this without unpicking it and I’m not doing that.

Re: 60 11 window
Came up pretty good
Old boy showed up after this and helped me do the lower half of the seams, not completely finished yet but already much better.
So more roof tomorrow then I’ll slowly work my way down the bus starting with the sections behind the rearmost windows.

Those first two pic hurt my ears just viewing. You meant it literally just in the shed whacking it with a hammer. Nice work man

Yeah mate, earmuffs mandatory. Hence the reason I couldn’t do this stuff at night time after work normally. Hopefully I can do all the dolly work in this block of leave.scotty*85vw wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 5:21 am Those first two pic hurt my ears just viewing. Re: 60 11 window
Didn’t get as much done today. Stated bouncing all over the place instead of sticking with the plan. Back onto the schedule tomorrow, start at the top and work my way down.
Got the roof to where I’m happy with it. Rumour has it I’ll have a visitor tomorrow to teach me how to sort oil canning.
Even though it still looks lumpy, it’s super close, when you put a ruler on it there’s no air in the “lows”. It’s getting a skim so not going to kill myself for an all metal show car Started on the panels behind the windows and top of rear corners
Passenger side to start and some ruler pics to show I’m not full of shit

Re: 60 11 window
Drivers side was a little worse, has obviously been hit mud something at some stage.
I got the corner all sorted but still some work to do on that flat panel, need to get the rollover jig off, I’ll have a spare set of hands tomorrow so will pull that off and try to dial that panel. Pin pulled from china on eBay has been great for the lows I can’t get behind.

It’s because I’m using the Wiz’s email them to yourself trick. I need to remember to take all pictures in landscape.Cheeseboard wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 9:31 pm Can you ring Braddick please and ask him to teach you how to get those photos the right way up.
