Re: Ian’s Dual Cab
Ian, would it be fair to say that you resurrect some of the biggest projects (Mulitple) on DSK in all the years ?
I can think of Klaus bringing his projects also from the dead, anyone else who has done numerous scale restos - back ot back to back from the dead ?
Your likely going to be in the 'Hall of Famers ''??
Cheers Linz

Re: Ian’s Dual Cab
I can think of plenty of people who have resurrected their Kombi’s, I just think they only do it once.
I’m just retired and use it as a hobby, gives me something to do everyday and is a bit challenging, hell I don’t know what people do with out a hobby. Grinding and welding I am like a pig in shit
Got both doors swinging today
Next I gotta attach the B Pillars

Re: Ian’s Dual Cab
I'm retired too, hang on, that's retarded
Another couple of weeks before I can wheel mine into the shed and start, got 5 months before I go back to work. I might get as much work done as you do in 5 weeks if I'm lucky
The older I get the better I used to be

Got the front panel to line up with the doors, turned out to be quite tricky, making sure all the windows still fit, welded up the A-pillar’s and set the dash In place

Re: Ian’s Dual Cab
Looking at it today I am reminded of the parts that have been given to me or I have bought at a discount price from friends
Passenger door from Colin’s Dual Cab
Cargo door from Beattes 67 bus
Bed structure and rear corners from Rusty
Engine lid from Gary
Chassis and bulkhead from Tony
Floor pieces and roof section and a ton of other stuff from Andrew
Thanks guys
When it’s done I want all you guys to sign the bits you have supplied

Outstanding work Ian
Coming together really well
I am a bit concerned with what tail lights u going to running to fill that hole up on the rear corner
Almost looks like the tried tested torana tail lights on Vw could get a run in there
